Hey, I’ve been away from the site for a while yet again, usual reasons. Over Easter Weekend though, I added a new page, to help raise support for one of the Official Witcher Forum Moderators, Mobidoy. You can see the page here: http://thewitcherworld.com/mobidoy.php . Meanwhile, I am reminded that I STILL haven’t gotten around to fixing the layout issues in IE6, so the site still breaks impressively in places in that browser, and there are still elements that look sucky in IE. Do me a favor. Use Firefox 3 or Chrome. OH… and the layout in firefox on my WORK monitors doesnt layout like it does on my browser at home. . I should have stuck with NOT trying some of the cute under the hood layout tricks.
Hey,not a lot of updates recently.
I did add a song Anarchos wrote, you can hear it on the home page.
You can also see a new little feature on the homepage, a style switcher that swaps out the background. Right now its in a VERY early version, just a teaser really, watch for it to get shinier and more elaborate over time. Also working slowly on getting some of the under the hood code cleaned up (the site still explodes on some pages in IE6).
other than that not much on the site, due to work gets VERY busy during the holidays up through Valentine’s Day (I work on the websites for a major greeting card company, and Valentine’s Day is our biggest holiday). So, now that the hectic season is over, I’ll be getting back to work on the site again. Thanks for everybody’s patience.
Hey! Awesome News! Propheet at TheWitcherVault.ign reached out and offered to place our Temerian and Viziman business advertisements on their site! I suggest you check out their site, not only to see our ads up there, but also to check out the extensive new content being added! Since taking over the site management, Propheet has been hard at work!
Hey, lots going on this month, and so I did not update the dev diaries even while the site was getting updated. So here’s the quick update: Music and two new pages so far….
- The Boston trip was great, the conference was most excellent… and, yes, the food was awesome: I love seafood, love lobster, and the clam chowder was astounding.
- The site now has an MP3 player, courtesy of Anarchos! RedFlame contributed several mp3s of “music inspired by the Witcher”, including an unreleased song from the Strands of Destiny project. More songs coming soon.
- New PageThe Anarchos Prime Files. Thanks to Anarchos for all your work…In revenge, our Fearless Reporters reveal the truth about who you REALLY are!
- Wallpaper!!!! Our Bearded Dragon more or less cooperated in a series of photoshoots. After a wee bit of Photoshopping, we are happy to present the results Geralt Goes Dragon Hunting.
Enjoy!!!!
Our Travel and Tourism Editor has braved the slums of Vizima to bring you a restaurant review of The Hairy Bear Inn.
I’ll be out of town next week, Going to Boston for a web design conference! http://webdesignworld.com/2008/boston/
some graphics work, updated the “sub-story” image to show the latest game news (RotWhiteWolf). Went on a font hunt.
After an eternity, another update to the site…delay due to acquiring a notebook computer and setting it up, plus updating a computer includes installing ALL the software, and rounding up all my photoshop brushes, my fonts…. Long story short: another page added… the start of our travel section! After all, why should a wiki act like a wiki? When it can be tourism information! check out what we have to offer about fine dining at The New Narakort Inn
Yes its been nuts, its been hectic, and the computer is STILL not done being updated (I know, its taking FOREVER), but I have started updating content on the site. Check the left rail…. there’s a new fan art contest!!!! I’ve also begun giving bigger presence to our friends and fellow Witcher supporters: check out the new page for Two Martinis Productions , who so generously gave RedFlame Interactive a nice bit of product placement in their upcoming film.
Hey, I’m playing Catch-up on Content! Check out the new article on the CDProjekt RED / Witcher Cult coverup…. and check out all the familiar pages for lots of new advertising!!! Our ad-sales people in Vizima have been busy!
On another note, I just had my hosting company move the site to a new server and upgrade my bandwidth allotment. So the site will be able to have more shiny goodness, without constantly getting notificiations about my chewing up bandwidth.
Yes folks, there are now classified ads on the site! Just the start of the page and a couple ads for now, just to get it up there. More coming. I had a slew of ideas while we were driving to Cedar Point yesterday. (Naturally, when I’m going to be the ENTIRE DAY away from my computer)! It’s underway, with one new banner ad, and I updated the nav to include it.
