Deception Released!!!!

Yes!!!!! After MONTHS of hard work, the insanely talented (or maybe just insane) REDFlame team proudly released their Showcase Mod, DECEPTION, to the Witcher Fan Community! The release was announced jointly by REDFlame and CDProjekt RED in The Witcher official forums here.

REDFlame Interactive is a computer game development company that began as Strands of Destiny, a modding group for The Witcher. REDFlame uses a professionally organized approach to creating Deception, their soon to be JUST released mod for the Witcher, a module involving custom non-player characters, new scripting features, original artwork specifically made for this module, a fresh yet recognizable musical score, a multi-threaded plot with several options with different endings depending upon the player’s choices as Geralt.

Upcoming is Arena, followed by The Strands of Destiny, a mod set directly after the ending of the original campaign. Many of the NPCs from the original campaign will return, as well as many references to events from the original. The source derives not only from the original game by CDPR, but also from the Sapowski series, with hands-on fan-based love and respect for the origin of the franchise. The content will be as the original game, rated MA (Mature Audiences) as determined by the ESRB.

The Witcher World is proud to be a sister project to REDFlame, providing coverage and updates no-where near as often as they happen. (It would take an entire staff of reporters to do that).
