Witcher Cult Active in Vizima!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!
The Truth About CDProjekt RED!

Thanks to an anonymous inside informant, The Witcher Weekly World News obtained classified information about Secret Agents and Cult Recruiters infiltrating organizations and communities in Vizima!

Our inquiries and investigation uncovered a number of clues that certain individuals that can be found on the streets in and around Vizima are buying and selling more than just Books, Witcher Alchemical Supplies, and Dice Games: if an unsuspecting citizen responds to their notices posted in the forums and inns, or even just contacts them directly and uses the appropriate codewords and questions, they will give quests and tasks designed to lure a person further and further into involvement with their organization, with successful recruits earning the title of "Witcher Fan". Typically, these quests and tasks wil involve compensation suited to an individual's aptitudes: Witchers and sorcereresses might be offered a reward of orens for demonstrating their combat skills in the Versus Arena. Creative types are usually tempted with rewards for entering competitions to creating artworks or crafts designed to impress high ranking members of the organization. Typical competitions include theHalloween Fan-Art Contest or the recent DeviantART Fan Art Contest.

All of these quests have one thing in common: they are presented under the auspices of a previously unknown group of individual who are all part of an organization that over the last few years has emerged from nowhere to infiltrate and even taken over gamer communities throughout Temeria.

Local individuals suspected as being part of this organization can be found operating in and around Salt Square in the Trade Quarter. In particular we note rumors of a particularly notorious individual operating under the pseudonym of Eriash, who is a known leader and major player in this Witcher Cult. This Eriash has been known to travel in disguise as an innocuous alchemical and herbal supplies trader. Tadek, the proprietor of VanWorden Books, is also indicated as a promenent member of this organization.

We cannot emphasize enough: this organization is extremely dangerous, even more so because all indications are that this Witcher Cult is not merely some unsanctioned religious cult, bit is in fact a Top Secret Black Budget Government Operation known only by the codename CDProjekt RED. Inquiries made through official channels were fruitless, with clerks, priests, military officials, and other notables all disavowing any knowledge whatsoever of CDProjekt RED.
